- MDianaSims8 years agoSeasoned AceI always use clubs. Not all of my Sims are in clubs, but I do use clubs to keep my community lots lively. I make sure my template saves have a number of clubs that populate the bars, nightclubs, libraries, parks, gyms, etc. It does help that I mostly play with aging off so clubs don't die out. But if I were to play with aging on, I'd probably use MCCC's clubs module a lot more.
- filipomel8 years agoSeasoned AceI really wish they added more club activities, I made a thread about the lack of activities that came with Cats and Dogs, but there also doesn’t seem to be any activities regarding parenthood or the fitness stuff pack, there’s no club activities for school projects, volunteering with the family, using the tv workouts, using the rock climbing treadmill, etc. I’m really disappointed by this as of lately.
- Perthelia8 years agoSeasoned AceI use clubs to keep my families in touch with each other, to keep vampire families corralled and to create friendships by making sims unable to leave the lot. Sometimes I use them just as a storytelling tool (for instance I have an evil vampire, so he heads up a club of evil vampires). I like the fact that you can select for traits or ages to add to the club and you can find members that your sim doesn't actually know yet. I have one kid's club that's passed down for three generations now.
- Sigzy_298 years agoLegendI don't use it at all as a matter of fact. But I think it's mostly because I forget it's there. Also I don't see that many pros of using it. Most of the time I just have my sims go together someplace and have them do something together so...
It's a fine tool, but I wish they had exclusive animations for the interactions regarding this feature besides the handshakes. I also wish there were more options when influencing someone like in past games. It's not fun enough if I can't make two random sims kiss each other. :D :p
It's also too easy to get in a club or overrule a member which also takes all the fun out of it. - Beardedgeek728 years agoSeasoned AceThere are a few activities I wish were included:
Pet training among them and something else that I can't remember right now... - Perthelia8 years agoSeasoned Ace

It might be there now. I noticed last night that "increased pet training" or whatever it is was listed under the perks, but I didn't think to check to see if it was under activities. - I have not purchased this expansion....could someone explain to me some of the fun and perks. I didn't really think it looked that great, but have been hearing good things on the forum...would like more depth if anyone is willing to share.

There's a good guide to it here: http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/expansionpacks/gettogether/
The two biggest things are the new world, Windenburg, and the club system. Honestly I paid no attention to the club system for months but once I tried it I realized how useful it could be - you don't HAVE to just have, say, a "reading club" that meets and reads. You can do all kinds of things with it. There are also new venues like the nightclub and the cafe. - janyses8 years agoSeasoned Ace

It's only easy to ask someone to step down. Overthrowing a leader is much harder unless you already know most of the members. - Lumiasta8 years agoSeasoned AceBasically I use it all the time if you count having a lot of clubs that are meant to just populate the public lots and make the world more alive. There's also clubs for each career, set to meet in various public places. I usually end up making a club per household too if I play them a long time, the skill-gaining perks are very handy.
All that said, I very rarely use the clubs as I think they might have meant to, aka having my actively played sims go somewhere and attend a club meeting with some other sims. That's... so rare for me that I can't remember the last time I did that.
For me the club system is a world-arrangement tool and occasional skill-up quickener, but extremely handy and well used tool for both.
