- Can't relate
but maybe you could try playing another household for a while? Is there a reason why that's not an option? - Can't relate either.
I play legacy so I start over with every new generation. - Okay, well I'm rather surprised that people can't relate. I thought this was a common thing, but it feels rather unpleasant to have been mistaken. Guess I'm the only one.
- I like the sims that I play with , because every sim I make gets a kind of trial run. I usually know after one day of playing that household whether I really like them or not. And so the ones who arent interesting enough dont make it. I have 3 households right now. And havent played in a couple days, but these sims I have now are staying :) <3
I think that when that happens, just play rotationally and add a new family in. - Yes I agree with you, my issue is I make exciting stories in my head but the traits and autonomy is boring for me. Traits barely make any difference and sims just drink water and go on the computer, so my stories don't really have depth if that makes sense.. I wish I could sit back a bit and let my sims run wild, I like chaos and unpredictability ?. I use mods to try and combat this issue, I know it's not a great fix but it may help a bit.

Yeah, I get ya there. What irks me even more is that my Geek and his music loving wife SWITCHED HOBBIES. It's like traits don't even matter when they do stuff like that!- Do NOT use cheats! That will be fun for 1-2 game days and then you will realize gaining skills is pointless because your sims can just cheat that too and they dont need a career or a business to make money and so where is your gameplay going to come from?
It really goes downhill if you cheat their needs. Whats the point of playing if theres nothing to DO? @AshtontoAshton22
I think cheating money/skills could only be fun if you REALLY create some drama in your game and have a bunch of diffrent "Stories" or something going on . - @EnjoyfulSimmer Yes, I know it's kind of boring but it's my style of playing. I kind of feel like I'm being judged for simply being honest. I don't cheat skills unless I want to age my toddlers up, fyi. I cheat satisfaction points to buy the Need traits so that I don't have to cheat needs anymore. Yes, I know it's just as boring but frankly I've gotten used to it. I feel like I offended you in some way and that was honestly not my intent. Just please respect my playing style, and I'll respect yours.
- What?! You were talking about being bored and I was talking about that with you. Because you seemed bummed out that other people couldnt relate to that.
You yourself said your play style was boring and I was just saying why that might be boring, because It would definitely be boring for ME. You can play your game however you want to .
This is what you said in your comment above : It's probably because I always use cheats though because I don't want the taking care of them getting in the way of finishing aspirations. I'm kind of a lazy Sims player lol.
@AshtontoAshton22 - @EnjoyfulSimmer Yeah, I know. Look, I'm sorry if I made you upset. I do the cheats a lot because I want to focus more on my Sims spending time with each other and yes I know it doesn't justify that, but I play to see their personalities interact and it's gotten boring because I've manually maxed their skills that correspond to their traits. I got upset because I wasn't expecting that reaction. I perceived it as rather abrupt and a bit annoyed and that's why I got defensive, but I will take responsibility for that. I'm sorry if I made you angry though. I'm trying to communicate how I feel and obviously, I'm not doing a good job of it.
