Also, just wanted to throw this out there, when my doc was promoted, her staff threw her a "promotion party". They called her up on the phone and asked her to come down to the lounge so they could "celebrate her promotion" - she went and everyone was in formal attire and many toasts were had. It should be noted my doc was friendly with her staff at the time of her promotion. I guess that is the side perk of chit chatting but she also chatted a few up on the computer/phone after work too. I wanted to see what kind of difference 'friendly to coworkers' made as it does say that in the tooltip which I usually never bother with in normal careers
I also noticed (could be my imagination) that if my doc basically greeted everyone on arrival, since they all tend to congregate up at the desk a lot anyway at the start of the day, she was able to avoid the constant interruption of her staff coming to say hi while she was busy with a patient. Early on I also yelled at workers and told them to shoo when they were tying up a patient that I was trying to work on - from that day on whenever my doc walked into a room they were in (orderly/nurse) they promptly stopped talking and left the room lol It kinda made me sad to make my perky happy Dr Pepper yell at anyone, but she seemed heaps happier afterwards - or maybe that was her benevolent god....
I'd say free will is still the key to keeping your sanity and getting the job down and done (same with my scientist and detective) :)
I am really enjoying the active careers, the doc and scientist are my favs. The detective seems a little redundant but it gives my hunky Rock Chimes something to do and me a reason to watch :flushed:
