Does anyone else think the maid is pointless now?

I stand corrected but what I understand about Sims 4's cleaning system, is that it seems a toilet pot, for instance, can only be cleaned once it's officially dirty and smelly. It can't be cleaned just after a sim has used it, which gives the maid much less to do, and increases the chance that the members of the household will still have to clean their own plumbing on the weekend.
