I think it's normal to get bored with something you're either not that into or have been doing for a long time?
Me? Bored of ts4? Never. But I also have a big imagination and I'm a lover of stories. So the sims 4 takes me to a whole nother realm when I play. And there are so many ways to play. Sometimes I just follow along with my sims doing every day activities, somedays I'm creating wild stories with pose player for hours, sometimes I'm all day in CAS or building more places for my stories to take place. Or somedays I'm just cc shopping. And I rotate families all with different storylines that weave together in eachothers lives so there is never a boring or dull day.
I love the full control and micromanagement too.
I feel like each iteration was made for a certain type of player. As a freedom loving mircomananger ts4 is the one for me. ?
It could be though that you just need to try other playstyles?
I know some years ago the only time I started feeling bored is when I was just following along a 9 to 5 work routine with wife and kids. It was a snoozefest. Lol
Then I wondered why I was forcing myself to play that way and a whole new world opened up.
