Does Seasons Slow The Game Down?

I'm really on the fence about this expansion. I love all the content that's been included (gifts are finally returning!!) but I'm worried about the changing and loading of the seasons slowing the game down and bogging down the overall performance. I understand that everyone's experience with it will be different because of computer hardware but I rune Geforce and intel core i7 so while I know the game should in theory run fine, you never know. I mean look at how TS3 ran.

I would say that the most glitch or lag comes when applying wallpaper I don't know why, but I think its just a bug that they'll fix in the future. One thing I wish though is brining prom back, like I reallllly miss that.

It's cause of the roofs. The SimGurus confirmed it's a roof issue.

It has for me! Since installing it my gameplay is slower. My sims stand around doing nothing for ages even when I have tasks lined up for them. Also they’ll sit on the toilet while it goes all the way up to green, then it’ll go back down to red and do that continuously until they’ve been on the toilet for about 2 sim hours or more. When my sims go to work or sleep the super speed option doesn’t work properly so I spend ages sitting around waiting for them to get home from work. I didn’t have any of these issues before this pack and I’ve got all updates/patches installed.

I have the same problems too. Takes ages for my sims to do anything. Have no idea why though because my daughter has the exact same laptop and hers runs fine...

Not for me. My game runs smootly. Be sure to regulary delete the chache files. Cause these can cause problems.

Not for me, the game runs smooth as silk performance wise.

  • Are you playing with or without mods?

Without mods. I have just watched a whole sim hour go by with my sims frozen on their tasks... painful when your only 5 minutes into playing...

Bugs aside, it runs extremely well on my laptop (i7, GTX 1060, 8 GB ram) and like an absolute dream on my PC (better i7, GTX 1060, 16 GB ram). Currently only using the laptop as I'm on vacation but I haven't experienced any slow down or lag as far as I'm aware. Bugs, yes, but performance is great otherwise. Of course my desktop will always be better but given that I don't experience any issues, I think you'll be fine playing it as long as your laptop or PC meets (and preferably exceeds) the recommended specs :)
