When I mentioned that now with the weather is even more obvious is because I have some dogs in some of my households that really prefer being outside. And since we can't control them at all, I think it would be good to have doghouses for them to hang out in if it starts raining all of a sudden or something like that. Also if the lot is big and has a lot of outdoors area or if the dog wants to sleep next to the owner while the owner is outside gardening for example.
It's an object that could give us many options and it should be in the game.

It's something that really annoys me. I constantly have a bunch of strays in front of my house who are dirty and sick. They keep throwing up, collapsing, trying to get up and collapse again.
Yeah, it's pretty hypocritical how they suddenly seem to care about in-game dogs when it comes to doghouses, but everything else doesn't seem to matter. I still can't wrap my head around this whole thing.

It really surprised me how little they put in for the animals, especially dog houses. Then I was really shocked to learn they were deliberately left out because Grant from the EP sims team thinks that people who own dog houses are not good people. The dog is safely in the back yard, with proper shelter, food, water, and toys. I don't know, but those dogs look pretty happy and healthy. I really wished someone would have told him this.

I think the sims 4 game is cruel to the sims community, for all the cut base game features, only to appear in paid DLC.

I was so disappointed that dog houses were not included in Sims 4 and I was furious about certain comments made about why they were not included. However, I have cooled down. I am still very disappointed doghouses are not in the game. I do not know if this is correct but I have heard from several sources that doghouses were excluded because of routing issues. If this is true they should have just said so.

Actually the reason was because of the varied dog sized, because of it, they will need to create a huge object just for the dog house. IT might be even bigger compared to the previous iterations since The Sims 4 is scaled a bit bigger compared to the previous iterations. For example in the livestream they talked about it, such as how they will need to do doghouses since some dog breeds such as a chow chow is so big. Would rather use their resources to another gameplay feature rather than to an another oversized object.

Grant pretty much said he's responsible for it. Also, the "they would have to be huge" argument is completely weird again because so far TS4 never had any issues with adding unnecessarily huge objects to the game. And previous games made it work too.

CC doghouses aren't that big though and they work for large dogs. I use one in my game and my german shepherd is able to go in it without any problems.

however its not like we couldn't allow our dogs to stay indoors in the past games. it was simply a option to do both.

It would have been nice to be able to put dog houses on community lots, at least then the strays would have some shelter. But no, instead I'm seeing stuff like this. This picture was taken at the park in Willow Creek.
