You don’t need one. I have MWS and I just had a wedding in my favorite save and it didn’t require me to assign those roles. I could hire a sim or assign one of my sims if I wanted, but it wasn’t required.
Perhaps, not the wedding itself since they released MWS and it's all changed up. But other events do call for a cook and a mixologist.
I had a birthday party yesterday (I usually don't, but scenario called for it) and I didn't need a mixologist or a caterer. I just had the kids mother bake a cake, and that's it.
