Downloading the Sims4 to One Drive

Question

I am wondering if it is possible to download the whole Sims4 game to Onedrive not just the back ups. I have a 1TB subscription and would like to move my game there so I can free up space on my laptop. How does one set that up.  I just tried loading it there but it I kept getting error messages.

I'm not sure if you can run the game with the files just in the cloud without a local copy. The game runs on the assumption that the files are installed somewhere on your hard drive.

If you think about it, EA could make a lot of money letting players stream their games on a service like what Sony did with PlayStation Now.

I ended up buying an SSD Drive.  Expensive but it downloaded it without a problem.
