Hates Children is the biggest turn off in potential love interests for my Sims. Even if the Sim I'm playing isn't focused on family or having children, I still don't like and never will like that trait.
Evil isn't a deal breaker though. Sims with that trait really don't do many evil interactions in my experience other than break out into an evil laugh now and then. Mean Sims, on the other hand will constantly start arguments and destroy things just for fun. It's too hard trying to keep up a good relationship with them.
Jealous Sims wouldn't be a deal breaker if they weren't constantly tense if they're not glued to their partners side 24/7. Plus, my Sims can't even talk to or be friends with any other Sim or the jealous partner goes ballistic. I can see looking past that trait if both Sims were intended to be Loners living by themselves, never going out, never having children and live like hermits totally devoted to each other. But what fun is that?
I will cull Klepto townies in a heartbeat, but a Klepto partner wouldn't be so bad, as long as you don't invite them over to hang out before you move them in. lol A partnership with a Klepto would be especially fun if your Sim is also a Klepto. They could go on excursions for goodies together and come home with a nice haul. ;)
Other traits that are always deal breakers are; Gloomy, Slob, and Non-committal
There are a few others that are potential deal breakers, but it depends on what other traits the Sim has and what kind of game play is intended for the save. Squeamish is okay as long as they won't be doing any fishing or cleaning. Materialistic and Ambitious are fine if these Sims' main goal in life is to become filthy rich, which doesn't happen very often in my gameplay. Otherwise, nope.
I don't play with clubs very often, so Insider is usually a thumbs-down unless my Sim REALLY likes that Sim, then I'll just change that in CAS to another trait.
I'm confused as to why so many don't care for the Bro trait. Those kind of Sims are great for Body Builders and other than doing the Bro interactions when they see another Bro (only if you have free-will on, which I usually don't), they don't do anything very negative that would hurt a relationship that I've experienced. I haven't played very many Bros though, so maybe there is and I just haven't seen it yet.
I also don't understand why so many don't like the Dance Machine trait. I've had Sims with that trait before and they're actually kind of fun. Yes, they do get tense if they haven't danced in a while, but send them to dance at a stereo and they're happy. Plus, these Sims get a unique way to fill the energy bar by taking a Disco Nap. It's not a very long nap and it fills up their energy completely. Seems like a good trait to have in my opinion. *shrugs*
