Did something happen in particular on here?
oh just hijab-gate
perfect response. haha- ldm26 years agoSeasoned AceI got better things to do than get caught up in the latest round of someone's-offended-by-something.
- ChampandGirlie6 years agoSeasoned AceIt just depends on what I have time for, not really for extended debate.
- kurimisarang6 years agoSeasoned AceI speak up on the regular because that's something I've trained myself to do.
On days such as today however, some people are never worth arguing with, because they will not change their minds, they live for the thrill of "the discourse" and loudly expressing their total lack of empathy.
As long as others have posted more sensible opinions, so random readers will know there are other viewpoints in the world and maybe start thinking differently, I'll just keep quiet.
Sometimes, there are too many voices already. - PhantasmKiss6 years agoSeasoned AcePoking around the forum, I kind of started to get the idea that maybe I'd missed something today...
Let's just say I found what I'd missed, I took a quick look, and I ran the other way. Nice to know I was telling the truth with my poll answer. "hyrulerose;c-17228786" wrote:
I’m going to avoid the forum for the next few days/however long it takes for this to blow over. I can’t stand when people debate on the internet, as it rarely leads anywhere worthwhile. Heck, I don’t even like when people debate about the game. :D
Yeah like the aftermath of every firework show it's better not to linger in the dust. I read the drama if I'm around. But it's draining to witness the kerfuffle turn into a train wreck when the mods aren't around.
I usually avoid game debates because they are more of the same.- SheriSim6 years agoSeasoned AceIsn’t the forum always in a kerfuffle? I mean we all have differing opinions..... I often feel sorry for the devs who are caught in the middle of everything....

Sims is my game, my time to take a break from RL so I do not like to read mean stuff. Also I think "byzantine discussions" are useless :| - I typically observe what's happening ('see what's happening' appears in my action queue) but I rarely comment, only if I really want to and in those situations I'm a bit paranoid about making sure I word things in an acceptable (non argumentative) manner.
- InuMiroLover6 years agoSeasoned AceI might throw in my own 2 cents with a dash of dry humor mixed in, but mostly I just sit back watch. Maybe roll my eyes at a particularly good thread and say "oh my god are ya'll real?" Its fun to watch someone tirelessly try to change someone's else's mind when they aint going to. You might as well tell a brick wall to move.
