Actually, after loading the game, you can close out origin entirely. I closed it and according to task manager, it is no longer running. My "hours played" are not tracked, but who really cares. Origin is junk anyway, as I have zero use for the "friends" and never use a majority of the features.
See we talk about a few different onlines, and this is one of them. but your still online with the internet? you can save your game right, so yea its working.
Maybe that is the new Experince, we can now paly without internet and Offline :)
Actually, I am offline. The game saves are directly on my computer, not on any "cloud-based" storage. My account is actually shared on 3 computers in my home(mine, my husband's, and our the kid one), and 2 computers in my parents home. I have a save on my husband's computer that I have no access to unless I play on his computer. My parents have access to my origin account for the grandkids when they visit (all not just my kids). All it does is kick you in offline mode if soneone else logs on, but since everyone in my extended family always goes offline as soon as they open origin, we all could play at once if we wanted.
Just be cautious that nobody but yourself is using your account online because otherwise EA could close your account or ban you.
