somehow I feel that by "strong year" they just mean financially, I don't think this statement has much to do with content. It's all about the sales they can make. Which is on brand for EA
That was my exact thought too, financially a strong year for them, not necessarily a strong year for improvements and content for TS4. We all know they make money hand over fist with the microtransaction formula they've implemented with TS4 by spreading the content over several packs and charging the same price. - ChadSims25 years agoRising RookieAnother big year does this mean we're getting Return to Batuu

They say this every year.. and look what we got. (Star Wars for example). It's all just marketing Spiel and PR blablabla.
Exactly they say this every year its not like they will tell the truth like next year we will sell you a pack marketing a Disney attraction a buggy expansion and reuse the same systems over and over again and resell them to you as if its new so they go with another strong year. - SEREFRAS5 years agoLegendPersonally, I think Sims 4 Big Year was 2019 with Strangerville, Island Living & Realm of Magic.?

for ts4, i think its best year was 2017 with the toddlers update, vampires, pets & parenthood.
toddlers brought a lot of people back, vampires is a great pack, pets are very requested & parenthood tried to focus on gameplay.- I know we are getting new skin tones, but has there been any news on any other new swatches? Obviously they added like 300 swatches to doors last year (?), I was under the impression this was an ongoing project..? Like we don’t even have the matching window swatches to go with the door update, has anyone heard anything?

Nope they seemed to move onto the only dark skin tone update and have completely stopped doing swatch updates. - I mean, anything new would be something I'd look forward to so...I don't need EA to tell me that I should be hyped for their next pack. I like how future packs stir discussion and speculation too, which is always fun.

Time to speculate. I am hopeful we'll finally get cars and sims we're not playing asking our sims to marry them in 2021

Cars would be nice. I know for a fact that cars can work in a closed world environment because Sims 2 had cars and Sims 3 Xbox 360 version and Sims 3 Pets Xbox 360 version had them also. And all three Sims games were in fact closed worlds.
The worlds in those games were designed to work with cars though. How would a car work in Sulani where there is no roads and the area is an island? A lot of Sims 4 worlds just aren't compatible with cars without a complete redesign of every neighborhood.
Well that's the catch. They worked well in those three Sims games. But will cars work well in Sims 4?
