- A strong year for the Sims of course means new content for the main game, but I miss my spin offs: medieval, the stories series, Urbz, various console games that did not try to emulate PC, etc. I desperately want castaway back, but that is one of the things I do not feel fit well with the main game. It has to be its own.
I just don't care for the mobile stuff. Mobile games have always felt more like a time sink than a game I play for fun. Something to do when I don't want to make eye contact while waiting. "Calico45;c-17728040" wrote:

Castaway! :) My poor unfortunate sim got struck by lightening while swimming in the ocean just offshore from his camp. I made him come in and take a shower to get cleaned up. Later that afternoon, I made him go shopping in town. There's a pool for sims to swim in in town. So I made my sim go swimming in the pool. And wouldn't you know it, rotten luck befell my poor sim by being struck a second time by lightening while swimming in the same day. :D I miss Castaways too! :)"sunman502;c-17725909" wrote:
The reference to Princess Cordelia has been in the game for sometime now. I remember reading a reference of Princess Cordelia back when we had just gotten Get Together. The reference of Princess Cordelia might have been in the game long before Get Together. Because the bust of Princess Cordelia has been in Sims 4 since the game launched back in 2017.
the most expensive antique objects from base game are mostly princess cordelia descriptions there is whole story about her if you look at those
I would love ancient pack of some kind
but idk if ninjas medieval references can be considered hint because he has been about it for a long while and he did work with sims medieval back in the day so it makes sense to remind us of his awesome old project- Jomilej5 years agoNew Ace@sunman502 Princess Cordelia is the main Lore and Mystery from the sims 4! She has been mentioned since the start of the game (base game) and her lore is present lots of packs.

Figured as much since her bust has been in build/buy mode since day one of Sims 4's launch back in 2017.
You can read part of her pirate days lore by collecting and reading about one the many Sulani treasure collectables.- bluzkat5 years agoSeasoned Veteran

I think the latest EP isn't that good and mind blowing either. It looks good, but that is not the problem this game has. It's all about depth and gameplay. Still to this day depth and gameplay falls flat on so many levels.
When looking at the Snowy Escape EP: It looks good, sure. But when I look for substance in terms of gameplay and longevity of the content in the pack.. it again falls extremely flat.
Compare the EP's we got for Sims 2 and 3 to what they bring us in The Sims 4 and you can notice the trend.
And I seriously doubt that is ever going to change because it's just their model with The Sims 4. (unfortunately).
Especially when it comes to their animation budget. It must be very small this time around.
Agree 100% ! I play Sims 2 all the time now, along with TS3. S2 has horrible graphics, but they have great game play and I can go on without being bored for hours. I can stand S4 for just so long. I do hope they get it together but I'm not holding my breath. - bluzkat5 years agoSeasoned Veteran

It can only get better.
I like the idea of getting better. But in what area are you wanting to see get better? The area of over all game performance or better contents?
I want bug fixes, body hair and something interesting to do for my Sims. I don't want more social social meta structure like clubs or NAPs. I hope lifestyles and sentiments won't ruin the game even further.
Those are some good choices. I was just remembering when I took an air boat tour of the mangrove area of the Everglades and how cool it was two years. Then I suddenly thought about what fun and interesting story telling would come from having air boats for the sims to ride in in the game. So now I'm wanting air boats in the game.
Awesome! Air boat would have been a great idea for the Jungle Adventures game pack we have. They could have added a jungle swamp for riding in and adventures. - Jomilej5 years agoNew Ace

Your world trait ideas sound great and something I'd love to play around with. We've got Sims trait and lot traits... why not world traits, too?
In fact the NAP are Neighborhood traits
Yes, that’s true but they aren’t really permanent like Sim or lot traits are. I’d like my traits to be applied once and then forgotten about instead of having to actively work on them like with NAPs. Yes, I know, cheats are thing but sometimes I just want them applied once and can then move on to other things. - GracieFace3125 years agoSeasoned Ace

They are permanent if you disable the NPC votes in the game options.
Oh I honestly didn’t know that! Thanks — you can tell I haven’t played around with NAPs that much
