@Daravi apparently there is something to do with drinking in the new pack. SimGuruFrost strongly hinted towards it. Really hoping sims can get 'juiced' again and it's actually an emotional state similar to StrangerVille's 'possessed' emotion but I'm not sure they'll do that!
