The dew collector just collects and stores water. You'd still need to water your plants either by hand or with the sprinkler. Though I think I've seen a video where someone broke the valves and strategically placed the plants to be watered (it leaks when the valves are broken). But that seems to kind of defeat the purpose since you could use a sprinkler instead.
