I'm surprised how many dislike it. I made windenberg green at the chalet gardens and it was sooooooo beautiful with the aura and everything shining. I just kept looking around like wooooow.

I have not seen any mods to get rid of this but I'll keep an eye out

I didn't know what it was at first, but it was too bright and blinding. It gave me a bad headache. I don't know of any mods out there either, unforunately.

The auroras at night are beautifull, but the sunrayes in summer are too much.

I love it, it's amazing.

It's not to bad if you only have the rays on one district in a neighborhood, but I had them on all the districts in one of my neighborhoods and I could not see anything unless I was zoomed really close to my sims lot, the lighting blinded me completely. I had to turn all but my played district to neutral. It can be pretty, but as is it is just to bright with all districts green.

Have you checked your monitor settings? Or have a very bad graphic card? Because this is very odd to me; I have no problem seeing / not being blinded anywhere but I also have no problem with "badly lit houses" that a lot of people complain about and which I am convinced is a graphic card issue.

This is what worked for me.
Move your sims into a lot in a different world keeping furniture. Go into build/buy mode and in household inventory there is a debug item called eco_ray EP09. Delete it. Move your sims back into the original lot and it will be gone.
