I had a sim with the skills of Handiness, Logic, Programming, Research, RocketScience & Robotic 10, completing all her homework & assignments but got a probation.
Another one of my sims who had only the basic skills in level 4 that also did all her homework & assignments got a suspension.
I don't use any mods. I did a full repair of my game. And have avoiding my sims from ever going to University because of this problem.
I've also used the codes to give my sims certain degree traits.I still wish there was a way to properly play the University.
I am not sure, but I think UNI counts your sim's skill build, not their level number. So, if all skills are 10 when entering UNI, your sim will build 0 skills, which the game might see as a bad effort. If my assumption is right, your sim might be better off by building skills that are not needed, just to build some skills ;) Don't know, just thinking that most sims go to UNI to add to their skills.
