Explore the outdoors - Midlife Crisis

My sim recently became the victim of a midlife crisis (from the Growing Together pack). He has an immense desire for adventure, and one of the tasks is to "Explore the outdoors". Does anyone know what he needs to do to fulfill it? I tried travelling to Granite Falls and doing some camping activities (fishing, collecting bugs, harvesting unknown plants) but it didn't seem to work. Are there certain hidden areas that he has to explore? Has anyone managed to complete this?
