That, and, the very idea of having to deal with a loading screen to go between a farm and ranch would drive people crazy.
Just speaking personally, I don't think it would be any more annoying than it is traveling from one community lot to another in the same neighborhood area as it does now. So the idea may not be too far fetched. Although it'd be nice if they could open the individual neighborhoods to avoid the loading screen, but I suppose that is only a wish.
They said Toddlers couldn't be done, same with Terrain Tools, so wouldn't be surprised if they add open neighborhoods but not open worlds.
