I put a very classy restaurant in the town neighborhood. It uses a lot of assets from the new pack. I think it might become a new favourite restaurant for my sims. I will try to get pictures next week. I don't think I will get into the game earlier.

It's been a while since I grew so devoted to a new world this quickly, Ravenwood triggers so many ideas for stories, occults, religion, secrets etc. And that is before I even said hello to Grim. I've been super busy adjusting households, like I always do with creating their family tree many generations back, taking "old" family pictures etc. It's lots of fun for me to see how families weave into each other, triggering eve more stories. I also tried to find a main mission for most households, avoiding them to become just another household that cooks and sleep.
I have hardly built anything yet, and this is also a good sign regarding Ravenwood. Most of the houses are well built, only a couple of them might get expanded some. I'll post a series on my blog with details, but when talking about lots, here are some adjustments I made:
I really want a restaurant or café in Crow's Crossing, maybe in the Moppy house, but so far I keep the house as residential. It's the only lot that would function as a sit down and take in the atmosphere for tourists and locals as the other lots are too high up from the town square.
Specter House is now Ravenwood Vicarage. House practically unchanged, just adjusted outdoors a bit for the Priest's wife to access fresh eggs and milk for the cakes she is expected to bake for the church ;)
The 64x64 lot at Whispering Glen is becoming a farm, and a 2nd little family will stay in a servants cottage on the same lot. Not built yet, but both families are created. The Mux-Raisser family has a very long top community story in my Ravenwood, while the Raven family is actually their servants/gardeners. I originally thought a family named Raven would be essential in a district named Ravenwood, but not this one. They even carry an awful skin disease, which might actually be part of their sad story. I had a Raven household in my save since 2014 so it was logical that they would hail from Ravenwood, but there are so many generations back to where the two branches meet that I doubt they even ha ve any contact.
Marigold Chateau has become vacation property of HRM King Tarriot, but local agreements were made to allow for both the retired Priest and the Mux-Raissers to benefit from the chateau when the royal family is not saying there.
The bar/pub lot will probably be the only community lot aside of the main cemetery. I think I'll transform it into a Restaurant, but with a tiny museum/gallery included. Need somewhere to show off Ravenwoods past :)
Teardrop Cottage is owned by the Mux-Raissers, but let to families who craft stuff and deliver their produce to the farm. Not totally decided yet.
Mourning Glen has not gotten my full attention yet. Specter was moved into the Cozy lot (left), and I made a story line suggesting that the Club is in a house that originally belonged to Vladislaus Straud's parents, and that his sister is still around, blood thirsty but mostly living a hidden life. I'm not planning to play ghosts, but I like Esther and used her house to store a few other EA sims until I've decided. The large empty lot will probably be a camp ground until I need it for something else - could also be a nice and mysterious Spa. Need more thinking - love that hood but prefer playing a tad realistically.
(ooups, didn't intend to write a novel here, hey-ho!)
Oh! you have reminded me I still want vampire spa/pool some place for Judith she is missing her pool boys and the pools we have are just all too sunny for Vlad and Judith 😅
Maybe if I juggle some things to Mourningvale I could even fit it in Forgotten Hollow 🤔

I put in a Ravenwood Festival Camp. It needed something fun & cheery in that gloomy world. It's saved in the Gallery under my username SEREFRAS. The lot is actually a lounge.

I haven't done much in there yet, which is unusual for me as I normally have to sort all the lots out as soon as I get a new pack. I moved the bar and turned it into a recreation centre, then added a castle residential where it used to be. I added a park and a residential house for my sim couple where the guy has joined the reaper career. I also edited the cemetery slightly.

Sounds Good! 🙂

I am far from done yet, the only part that is full is mourningvale. So, mourningvale has mostly residential lots with one being a rental resi (3 houses and one crypt for the vampire landlady), one house for my witch and the funeral home for my undertaker and then there is the graveyard of course.
Crows Crossing only has the Asylum so far, I also plan to add a magical shop there, the rest of the lots are undecided yet.
Whispering Glen has the "Historical Witchwood" its a national park lot with a very small medieval towncenter and a little enchanted forest (which is the gathering spot of the coven), its not finished yet. Also still a WIP is the carnival, which is a residential for the carnival folk who will have parties there to show off their talents among other things (visitors can watch the mermaid swim in her tank and pet a real unicorn, Wow!)

I tend to be more of a realism player. I turned Ravenwood into a destination world rich in history that is also a premiere destination during spooky season.
In crows crossing I put a castle and a huge castle themed play ground. I added a cafe originally built for glimmerbrook, but I changed the roof to be red like the nearby buildings. I added the restaurant lilsimsie built, and I did keep part of the cemetery but I downsized it to a 30×30 lot.
In whispering Glen I have a huge pumpkin patch, I also recreated the sunflower swing moment from the trailer on this lot. I have a greenhouse inspired cafe, the original 50×50 from crows crossing has been moved here as well as another residential I downloaded from the gallery.
Mourning vale has been totally redesigned to be my own sort of Halloween town. I kept the original nightclub, added another nightclub that is very Halloween themed, I have another pumpkin patch, and a vacation rental I downloaded from the gallery.
I'm thinking about a residential 'cemetery' lot for Mourningvale. It would be a cemetery on the surface with an underground crypt for my macabre vampire sim. It would be awesome if there was a mod to make the above ground part function as a cemetery while the crypt acted as a residential lot. My workaround is to make the cemetery feel abandoned.
Have not had time to build yet
but I'm thinking library in Crows Crossing, Occult shop in Mourningvale, Sunflower field in Whispering Glen
+ the existing venues edited or rebuilt with more functions
also castle some place
and maybe museum although I feel like that could be part of library hmm

For me, it wasn't what lots I put in, but what I replaced. I tore down the original Club Eternity nightclub and built one of my outdoor nightclubs there instead. It's all about exposing sims to the elements. And I tore down the bar in Ravenwood and replaced it with my own, complete with lots of bee boxes. Sims are either dancing to the music or dancing to the bees swarming them
