I choose literally any lot that is empty and they can afford, either furnished, unfurnished or no building. The lot choice depends more on the story I am trying to tell.

Easily the best lot to start off. The orange ground and mountains get me feeling a strange way so I have to avoid going there. Good times there however

The first lot I played when TS4 came out. Continues to be one of my favs and it's in the best BG world. ;)

I'm partial to 2B Jasmine Suites in San Myshuno's Spice Market district.
Lot's of starting cash left over to remodel into a creative loft.

I've always had a thing for 17 Culpepper. It's really easy to redecorate and spruce it up right from the start and not completely bankrupt my sims. Bedlington Boathouse and Inner Circle are a couple others that I really enjoy starting out with too.

I never really go to base game worlds tbh

I’m not particularly attached to any one lot. 930 Medina Studios is a pretty good size, although I forget how much it is and if you can afford it with 20,000 Simoleons. Many of the other affordable apartments are pretty small in comparison, especially if you’re a family player like me.

My go to is Daisy Hovel in Foundry Cove (Willow Creek) but I always rename it Daisy Terrace. For apartments my go to apartments have always been any of the three on the landing where the Rasoyas' live on.

I quite like to start from scratch in any of the three smaller blocks in Ridgeline Drive, Newcrest. That's the street on the right hand side of the map, in case you get them mixed up.
