Favorite Starting Lot?

Interesting question. I really don't have a favorite, but one of my fave areas in general are the back lots in Windenburg (upper left of screen)

I usually start my sim off in the small 2 bedroom house on the culdasac in Windenburg. Unfurnished, and I'll expand the walls, make a walk in closet in the master bedroom, add a workout area by adding another room off the kitchen. Furnish the house to suit my sim, but it also changes by what happens in her life.

For my Sims 4 on the PC, I just have the base game. I usually move my Sim into any house they can afford in Willow Creek. I always make the house fully furnished.
For my PS4, which I have almost all the packs for, it depends on the Sim, and what I want to do. If it is a normal Sim or Spellcaster, I will move them anywhere I want to in the worlds. If it is a Mermaid Sim, they go to Sulani. My Vampire Sims usually live in Forgotten Hallow, and my Werewolves live in Moonwood Mill. Partly my occult Sims are moved there so I can explore their traits. I also move Sims into the apartments. All my houses are furnished.
Other times, I may find a cheap house within their budget on the Gallery, and move the house into any empty lot that I feel would fit it.

Last year I was doing a legacy challenge where each generation has to begin young adulthood in a starter home in a different world from previous generations. The founder was in Daisy Hovel and I agree with those of you who say it's a great starter home. I also liked playing a starter home in Sulani, but my favorite of all was Proprietor's Square in the old town neighborhood of Windenburg. I like the vibe of it with cobblestones and old European architecture. It's small to start out, but provides a lot of space to grow. There are usually a fair number of townies milling about, giving it a semi-urban feel. It has fishing and a cupcake stand as neighborhood amenities, which you see in many of the base game neighborhoods, but it also has painting and chess, which you don't. You also have convenient access to a number of community lots.

About 50/50 either the Willow Springs empty lot across the street from the BFF household or the Windenburg empty lot next to the Fyres household. Occasionally either the empty lot in Glimmerbrook or the bottom left in B. Bay.

I'll either bulldoze 6-4-1 Hanamigawa in Mt. Komorebi, or use the empty Mid-Nowhere lot in Windenburg.

I usually use cheats, as I want to see all aspects of the game before my time is up, but on occasion, if I want to play a scenario and not use cheats, with a new sim, I like James Turner's starter home in Snow Escape; I think it's 2-4-3 Wakabamori in Mt. Komorebi. It's clean, cool and quite sexy for a single or a young couple.

It depends on the sim and his or her back story. A lot of my sims start out in Henford on Bagley in the countryside.

It depends on my sims but probably Crick Cabana or Streamlet Single in Willow Creek. I rebuilt all of the lots in all of the worlds through San Sequoia for my save. Foundry Cove is the only starter lots with starter prices in my save. Plus, I like those houses. They're simple but nice, If I do say so myself :).

Almost always a small low in Willow Creek or Oasis Springs.
