I felt like the potential with this game was like a puddle, wide, but about an inch deep.
This is exactly how I feel about Sims 4! It has so much potential, but once you dive in everything seems so shallow compared to previous games. The traits are watered down, there is no color wheel, loading screens everywhere, no story progression in the worlds, the whole timeline doesn't make sense anymore, animations are cut, etc.
The main reason why I don't quit this game is because it has so much potential, I wanna see it become better, StrangerVille & vampires are fun and there is no other game similar to this (yet). (Maybe the creators from Cities: Skylines will do a simulation game similar to The Sims >:) )
Sorry but potential days really are over. That’s like some old guys who started a band once dreaming of becoming as big as U2, had a one-day wonder in 1989, were praised for their potential in all the magazines but it never happened and now they’re old and gray and they still think they will make it one day. They won’t.

Yeah, better personalities, more immersive traits and more bad behavior, more bad things happening. That's what i want more from the game now. Anyway i play since sims 1 base game when we could never dream that there were going to be any expansion, how much we would have 4th generation with lots of packs added. From all the series, sims 4 is what I enjoy more, cause it's way less buggy than all the others.
It’s funny you should say that. I realized this a couple of days ago when I was dressing the ITF mannequins for my mall in Sims 3. Probably because I used already adjusted mannequins (when I created the mall years ago and saved it to my library; the mannequins are pretty fragile and glitch easily), my game would constantly crash. So over and over again I had to restart my game and continue, not exactly knowing why I constantly crashed (drew that conclusion later). So that was pretty frustrating, and then at one point I realized to my own surprise, I was actually still having more fun than I ever did playing Sims 4. I just kept opening the game because apart from the crashing, I was having fun. I can live with frustration and setback, I can't live with boredom
