I DON'T see anything Athletics would fit into neatly though; the lack of a major in athletics or physical education seems like an odd oversight to me.
Normally a career athlete does not gain that career by getting a degree in it. You train. If they get a degree, it might be sports physiology if they didn't make it big in pro sports or they are looking for what they'll do after the generally short career trajectory pro sports has. But you don't need a college degree to be a pro athlete, nor do you need one to be a pro coach. If you're going to go into sports medicine, sports-related physical therapy, or become a high-profile trainer, that would fall under Biology even though it's not the same thing as molecular biology.
