Fish Traps Outside of Sulani

They only work in Sulani, I tried. In order to work in other worlds they would have to be made a base game feature I think.

That’s a bummer. Since the pond tool is base game feature, I hope they’d update the trap so we could use it in different body if water for fishing.

They don’t work in ponds, but you can use them in any world that has swimmable water (Sulani, Britechester, Mt Komorebi, HoB)

Ah! Did not know this, I tried in Glimmerbrook & Windenburg. Thanks for the info!

You can put them into ponds by using bb.moveobjects. They work pretty well.

Interesting! So are they fully functional? I've been trying it out without the cheat and obviously no luck, but if they work that way I'd be Happy as Larry.
I hope they are made compatible with ponds in a future patch.

Quick Update:

bb.moveobjects works great in my swamp! A Sim can set the trap and check it. I didn't play long enough to have it fill up with fish but I'm positive it'll work.
Make sure to place it in shallow water so it's only half submerged, otherwise it could cause routing issues.

Not sure if this was an oversight or it’s because we can’t wade in ponds? I hope they’d update it in the future too.
