Food stealing is ok when your sim is on the stealing end especially in rags to riches challenges, however, my sim was on a nice date with her husband at the romance festival and it really killed the mood for me. by the time she finally got her food her husband had already finished eating and had I made him stop eating to wait for her I'm sure his food would have been stolen as well.
