For my second 100 baby challenge...

So, I just recently completed the 100 baby challenge--it was so much fun! Tho I did "cheat" slightly by letting my sim purchase as many youth potions as I wanted, lol.

ANyway, quick summary: after my 100th baby had been born but was still a baby, my sim was on a lot with a wishing well and got a whim to make a wish, so I thought it'd be funny if they wished for a child. I was kinda thinking they might get one of those evil wishing well children, haha, but instead they got the "free adoption" one. I took that as a sign, decided to make it 101 babies, and adopted the baby with the coolest name. Then I figured, hey! Maybe this can be an "heir" or sorts, and I could do a SECOND 100 baby challenge with this sim my original sim raised! I'd do it slightly differently, with the things I learned from the first run, maybe with some different mods, yadda yadda, but here's the thing: I think I'll definitely need to run it in a different save, cause if I add another 100 sims to this save my game is gonna have a fit (I had aging turned off for non-played households and kept all my kids in world), and I don't want to delete a whole bunch either. So, I'm thinking I'll save this sim when she ages up and transport her to fresh parallel universe to propagate in!

Which brings me to my question: after all this time, my first sim is a 5 star celebrity, so most of the kids are some kind of celebrity too. My "heir" sim, who's a teenager now, also has a great reputation. But I'm thinking I should reset all those when I start the challenge in a new save, cause this new world shouldn't have heard of her, right? Fame and reputation should be starting from scratch? Does that make sense?

Anyway, what do you guys think? What would you do...aside from, y'know. Not do a second 100 baby challenge XD

  • I would definitely keep going! I do let my Sims age in the background and we've lost a lot of them, I'm kind of curious if I can eventually make it into a 1000 baby challenge haha but I may have to switch saves at some point to keep it going and I feel like everybody will be related which might be a bit of an issue haha
  • Especially since on my laptop 80 is the max recommended amount of Sims to have in the world
  • I'm cuious what do you do with 100 babies. Are they all by one mother or father? Do you have aging on or off?

Hi! So here's a link to the official 100 baby challenge. According to the rules, you you start with one "matriarch" (although in my version, I actually played with a male sim set to "become pregnant." the point is just that they're giving birth to them) and they give birth to 100 babies. They can't become pregnant by the same other sim twice, so you could end up with 100 different "donor" sims, but twins and triplets of course are allowed and encouraged. You then have to raise those babies to adulthood, based on the rules lined out. You can't move in anyone to help with that lol, your sim has to do it all themselves. You have to keep aging on for your played household, but it doesn't say anything about other households, and I realized a bit in that turning it off is a good idea if you don't want all your grown children to get old and die while you're still making babies.

There's no real rules about what to do with them, but I would get super attached and want to set them up in a new home before setting them to unplayed. So, mine all have homes and lives and stuff. Some of them room together, some I moved in with their other parent, and some of them live alone. With all my offspring aged up, I currently have 100 sims spread out over 63 households. Which is why I was thinking I'd start a new save and new world for my next one, cause it's getting pretty crowded and I'm worried my games will quit on me if I try to keep going lol.

So far no responses to my actual question, which was whether to reset my new matriarch fame in her new universe haha. Well, she's still a teen right now, so I guess I have a little time to decide XD
