Forced in legacy edition..

So I've realised I have a 64bit windows and 64 os so I shouldn't need legacy. I've repaired game and now opened in 64bit and its working fine. I'm confused as to why origin told me I needed it... strange.

It told me something similar when I reinstalled. Or I thought it did. It actually told me I could use the Legacy Edition if I needed to and I misread it. Is it at all possible that you did the same or something similar? My daughter brought it to my attention when I expressed my confusion about having to use Legacy Edition. I was relieved but it was worded very vaguely and can lead people to think they can only use Legacy Edition instead of stating it as an option.

Well after I bought the new packs I got a warning when I tried to open the game and it wouldn't come on, so I installed LE and it worked, but then I realised I had a 64bit computer so it should work on the normal edition. When I checked in the advanced settings I didnt have an option to start game in 64bit.

I repaired game, the option came on, I opened game in 64bit and its working fine. No idea as to why I gave me a error and told me I needed LE. very odd.

Sounds like a glitch i had after playing on my new computer for a while i saw it had installed legacy for no reason so i couldnt play until i deleted the legacy folder. A pain but at least its fixable.
