The Notre Dame was badly damaged in a fire only a few years ago and the repairs are far from finished. It would be an odd choice to make a reference to if they want to hint at something French.
That said, the promo image looks more like a mandala to me. Which would make sense with the Indian inspired kit on the way.
I thought mandela for a moment too but it doesnt make sense when the other stuff like the nectar bottles are factored in. Also if you look up mandalas, they dont really look as much like that as the stained glass windows do.
Also i dont see why a fire a few years ago would change much. Its not less iconic because it suffered a fire. Its not the first tragedy to ever strike Notre Dame. It wont be the last either. Besides that much of the iconic glass survived that fire, it was the roof that burned.
There are many different kind of mandalas, but the thing they have in common is that they have symbols in geometric, circular formations. The promo image definitely qualifies, but the stained glass window is actually mandala art, as well. So, you're not wrong that it looks like that, I just don't think it was intended to look like that window specifically, but more like a mandala in general.
The nectar bottle might still be a hint, though, but if they were hinting Paris or France, there are plenty of other iconic things they might have picked that haven't been struck by disaster recently; the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, etc.
how do you suggest they would have encorporated any of those landmarks without being painfully obvious? Sounds like you're just presenting your own subjective ethics and values rather than whats most likely
