Friendly reminder

This has happened to me too many times during a build :(

Yep, saving frequently now.
I am in the builder's frenzy stage where it's almost done and I'm just trying to get it finished, so I can move on to playing.

Copy this, move that, rotate this object, rotate the lot, delete that, add this...
This where you can get that surprise crash because you are so focused on building and not saving.

One more room and I'm done with this Foxbury dorm.

That's what I was doing. :)
You take mini breaks if it's a big build or highly detailed.
Oh, and watching YouTube, taking up all that RAM.

I honestly need a ctrl s option. It's ingrained in my memory from grade school and I find myself subconsciously pressing those keys without actually saving.

I save at the start of every sim day.

idk i tend to quick check forum and random social medias on phone while playing and i have huge folder of random fun looking houses on my phone for inspo so :joy:

I definitely don't lock myself in front of computer only to play

Same. I play in a windowed mode so I can easier check forums or cheats when I want. I know I could check them in fullscreen too, just feels handier to me.

On the topic I usually save every sim night. Harder to remember when I build, but I do try to save regularly.

I always save two copies after every major change in build or moving house so I only lose a little if it crashes.

The only thing that can annoy is Windows 10 trying to update. Usually on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Did you know that it can steal some of your bandwidth to update other's PCs? I've reduced my settings to minimum for that but it still has a minimum of 5 Gig per month.

I always save before i leave my desk to do something, before any major updates to the game or windows 10. Just before these updates i move the save to a USB, along with any tray files if needed.
some bad experience with both the game and windows 10 in the past has seen to that.
