Along with this, we got a patch with some new items and a new career type, freelance. It works similar to the acting career in Get Famous -- instead of a daily paycheck, you work gigs to earn money. Currently freelance is only available for writing, painting and programming, but there are hopes they might expand it to other careers. Especially if you have a Sim that's reached the top of a career and you want a change, it's a great addition -- if your skills are high enough you can make decent money doing one or two gigs then have the rest of the day free to do other stuff.
