Game moves community furnishings into household inventory

This is a doozer. Never had this happen before and never even thought it could happen.

But I noticed this problem a week ago after updating for the latest patch but this bug could have been there after november patch as well as I didn't try to change any community lots after the november patch. I did remove my mods and even tried it in a new save but I am still having this problem. Has anyone had this?

I also have a problem with Origin where it takes up a huge amount of resources everytime I repair the game and repairing takes a lot longer now thant it used to. Is that now a normal feature of Origin or is my copy of Origin corrupted?

Should I just uninstall both game and the Origin and install everything again?

If I uninstall Origin do I have to uninstall/reinstall my games as well? I do have a few Origin bought games...

Well. One is never bored when it comes to the Sims :smirk:

  • don't uninstall anything just delete your sims 4 game file and start the game to get a new file
  • Yebb. Did that. Just now. Same thing. Didn't put ANYTHING of the old files back in. Started afresh and what do you know. The game still brings up this message.

But I just noticed with the new save, when I go into the household I just created, their household inventory doesn't hold the items deleted. At all. I did get those messsages at the community lot but there is no transfer of furniture into household inventory.

And now I have to admit to something. I didn't check to see if my household I was playing when I noticed these messages has anything placed into their inventory either...Um....so maybe I was just worrying for nothing and no effect is happening?
  • Hope you get it all straightened out. Nothing like trying to relax a bit by playing Sims only to have the game throw curve balls at you and you find your stomach tied up in knots, eh? Yikes.
  • Have you tried uninstalling you origin and download it back, perhaps origin is the issue not your game
