game wont run on my monitor but will on my tv

i have been playing sims 4 on my computer monitor and all of the sudden it says that gane cant run on my video card and my card is supported how do i get this to go away because i dont like playing on my tv screen. i am confused as to what could be the difference.. can any one give me help thank you

it plays on my tv when I hook it up to it so I am confused

No it’s plugged into my graphics card by hdmi cord it’s always been that way Just the game is crazy I need to fix it some how

Do you have a graphics card and onboard graphics? Games can still sometimes get confused about which they are meant to be using.

Are there any other games not working anymore? I had a graphics card die on me once which had to be replaced :/
Also, is it possible the resolution and/or refresh rate for the game have been changed beyond what your monitor can handle?

I got it figured out it was in my tv mod full screen in 4k so I had to just switch it to window full screen in game because my monitor could not support the 4k resolution its all fine now thanks everybody
