I think their development have shifted.
Their goal is no longer to develop for the sims4 in the same amount, at least not while they are working from home.
It also feels like their direction for the sims4 have shifted too. They are focusing on niche target audiences and broader, general themes seems to have been either cancelled or left for future game and expansion packs.
A game that I used to love is turning into something else.
