This thread is not about community lots being ghost towns... it's about one lot type (labeled Generic) where sims don't show up. This has nothing to do with lag or the limitations of the game; it's how this one specific lot type was defined by the devs. For other lots (nearly all the other community lots in the game), they are not ghost towns and plenty of sims do show up.
If one reads the thread carefully they will see it isn't a complaint about the game engine or performance like the S3 fans are assuming.
