Thanks to @rosemow I found this thread and so I thought I rather post my question here as well!
Last evening I gathered my science club at a generic lot with science objects on it. When I ended the gathering the place was suddenly flooded with townies. Is this new? I never, ever saw other Sims on generic lots. Also the outside areas like picnic tables are suddenly filled. Did anything in that regard change?
