Get Famous - I was nominated for an award for my book, missed the ceremony.....

I missed my ceremony, and in previous games have never been nominated afterward - will I ever get another chance?

... I was unsure of how to attend the ceremony and I have since found out but as I said, I missed it! Does anyone know if and how I can be nominated for another award in the future - is it just by chance? :)
