A lot of the chatter is about Get Famous and the new acting career. I get it -- it's the new shiny.Not as much thought is going into how this pack will really expand (hence the term Expansion Pack) current content. Some people seem to be upset that there were no musicians shown. But in the Base Game we already have the Entertainer career, with Musician and Comedian tracks. If you have City Living you can sing with the guitar or piano when you reach level 3 with the instrument and a certain level (forget which) of singing skill. As you gain singing skill, additional genres and songs are available. This pack could add features that make being a musician or comedian a lot more meaningful than they have been to this date. Base Game also gave us the Culinary careers, with the top level being Celebrity Chef or Celebrity Mixologist. Now they can actually be celebrities if you want to go that route -- you could start Gordon Ramsey as a low-level dishwasher and have him move up the ranks, complete with Shout Forbidden Words if you have Parenthood. :D There are a lot more possibilities -- what base game (or other pack) career do you think can be enhanced with Get Famous? And if you're getting the pack, what jobs appeal to you as your own path towards the rainbow of Fame?

I've had quite a few sims who would've done really well with this new EP! my top level musician heir, Candy flourished very well as a musician too, and her sister Yuki is a high level pro gamer. maybe I'll be able to have one of my teens become a celebrity doctor once she ages up? I've got some sims in mind for the acting as well. wonder if we'll get any new traits ?

All careers will have a path to fame now with the new EP.So after rising to the top of your sim's career, they can be famous for it.I have no idea how it will actually work, but it does expand on the base game and other packs.I wonder how I can use Get Together to form groupies and fan clubs that follow a particular famous sim.I can make a celebrity hangout where all the famous sims can be tracked down.And I could make a fan hangout where the star's pictures are plastered all over the wall.

It's going to be awesome! Love that fame is dynamic and not only part of the acting career. The costumes are incredible, too, and my fantasy and sci-fi sims NEED them. I hope it isn't specifically tied to the careers, tbh. It'd suck for "unemployed" business owners to get left out, or sims who paint/write outside of the standard career.

I was so happy when I found out that you can make other careers a "fame" career. I wonder how the whole fame system will work. Perfect for the Social Media career.

You’re right! I had my sim in the PR of social media career and her husband was in the live dreamer career. I’d pretend that she couldn’t be his “manager” and so she had a different client who would always be causing problems and she’s have to go online and clean up their mess. PR sims can convince sims to do many things like streak or dress in a costume too. It’d be neat if it effected their reputation.

I just commented in another thread about the vault. I never really do the money aspirations. Usually my sims do the others... get rich and then I ding it off afterward. I think I'm going to enjoy actively doing a money aspiration for once... and making an overtly materialist sim.

I know my scientist types will enjoy the drone also as another toy. Also all the gadgets with media production/music will come in handy in probably other ways then they intended them to be used for me at least. But that's speculating will have to have more info on them.

Now that I've been in Build/Buy mode for a few hours, I have to say the new flooring and window options are outstanding for my builds. I normally use items from Vintage Glamour for the bedroom and living room areas, and for the kitchen I'll use chairs from Luxury Party along with the higher end base game items.

I still have yet to start working on my Sim and starting a new game. I might get to do that tonight.

The top reason i wanted this pack is because it makes a lot of stuff i already have make more sense.

Like Celebrity Chef and Celebrity Mixologist were totally out of place without actual fame.
Same with either branch of the Entertainer career.
And the Athlete, Critic, Politician, Social Media, and Writer career make more sense.
Theres more reason to publish books besides the income, same with painting masterpieces.
Basically my whole game feels more complete and less awkward.

And now my royal sims Ive been wanting to enjoy since basegame will no longer walk around the peasants totally unacknowledged, as if they were fellow commoners. They will be given the proper worship kings and queens command lol

The Fengs from CL have to be famous, they’re supposedly trying to takeover San Myshuno based on their bio. Or our live-streamer sims who have to get a huge amount of followers...that said will possibly social media followers affect the fame system?

Same as any EP, not saying the price because I do not your location. But it is $40 in the US.
Note: let’s please not make this into one of the arguments over price(not saying this to you @SimzStarz )

Glad to know this expansion blends with other careers along with new acting career. :) Looking forward to it. Really love the different sets/era to act in.
