Get Famous NOT worth the money or TIME

I'm starting to get annoyed about it too, but mostly because of the random messages from townies. Like, some random sent my teen sim a mean text that went something like "you? a celebrity? what a joke!", which was... something since the only notable thing my teen sim has done was make a B in school. She has no celebrity points. In fact, I turned the celebrity system off in the game options. But I still get these random texts, and some of them are creepy. Like my non-famous child sim got a text from some random old guy saying how much he looks up to her.
