After Get Famous went on sale, I bought. Have to say that I personally am enjoying it. I love creating Sims and I always change or remove every townie. Check out my Sims creations under EA Account ID: littlebonnieblue On the side make sure to click include Custom Content to see all my Sims creations. I use custom content for hair, clothes, shoes, make-up, finger nail polish, and earrings because I love beautiful Sims. I rarely use the Sims content in CAS but I have used a lot of the fancy dresses in Get Famous--nice. Get Famous is a pack that just adds to the game play. I've spent time remodeling every house and every apartment and I mean everyone single one and all venues. I have Sims singles, Sims Families that I created in every house because I don't like Random Townies. Now I'm working on the lots in Get Famous. Get creative with your game--in Magnolia Promenade I placed a restaurant called Uptown Dining, also shopping venues called Uptown Kids, Uptown Clothes, and Uptown Shopping. I think because I see only my sims creations around town it just adds to the game. After my first acting gig, I did makeovers on everyone Get Famous townie and the ones that appear at the sound stage I travel to for gigs--director-actors-sound stage-paparazzi, etc. I made a super star handsome Sim to be a future rich boyfriend for my Sims to hopefully fall in love with and help her rise to fame. Get Famous has added to my Game Play.
Great post! I agree 100%! I am by nature a heavy critic (but silent) with the games unattractive content. I recently visited a custom content site and discovered a designer who creates her homes using nothing but game content. Her latest collections really blew my mind and made me look differently at the content provided in the games. Her starlet home was created mostly from the Get Famous EP and is seriously awesome!
