Get to Work Neighborhood Question

I don't really use Magnolia Promenade much unless I specifically add lots like restaurants or if I have a sim who owns a retail shop. I think I have one save with a restaurant over and I know I had another save where I had a vet's office over there.

Idk if there's a place to fish, but you can plant and garden normally there.

Whatever you do, do not put a restaurant in that town. There is a weird, but horrible lag. It doesn't affect other business or lot types, just restaurants. I did have a residential lot there, but it was a bit lonely without any neighbors.

I only place community lots in Magnolia Promenade. It’s easily forgettable as it isn’t quite attractive and absurdly limited.

@LaBlue0314 thanks for the tip! I did end up buying the pack. Haven't done anything with Magnolia Promenade yet.

Fishing is possible from the docks. You may even get to see a steamboat come in, turn, and then head off. Over land.

I use it exclusively as a place to plant some extra public lots, usually commercial venues like restaurants spas since I don't dig retail that much.

I've used Magnolia Promenade a few times for residential and retail. But lately it sits empty most of the time. However, I do send my Sims there quite often to fish. The one fishing spot on the pier has rare fish and other extremely valuable objects in the boxes they can fish up. Most notably, the VooDoo doll and Dragonfruit.

As for other plants or objects, there really isn't much there, just a very limited selection of plants growing and I think only one, maybe two frog logs. Glad you decided to go ahead and get the pack. There's so much more than just the small world to enjoy in this pack. My favorite thing about it is the Scientist career and the ability to have retails stores. Plus it also comes with a hidden world, Sixam, which is where the Aliens come from who also come in this pack. :)

Thanks, @Karababy52 ! I have yet to find dragonfruit so will have to check out the fishing there. I chose the scientist career. No aliens yet, but I'm enjoying playing with the inventions.

I only ever use Magnolia Promenade as a shopping district, when I remember to use it at all.
