- You buy them for your Sims at the Rewards store, also certain aspirations give you a fourth trait.
- You can unlock as many aspirations as you feel like provided your sim lives long enough.
- You start with 4. One is your aspiration trait, then 3 normal traits. Then there are the aspiration reward traits, which you can get all of them on one sim, and the reward traits, which you can also obviously get all of.
There is no way AFAIK to unlock a 4th normal trait slot though. - Just keep playing until you buy all the reward traits -- none cost more than 4000 satisfaction points, and each time you complete an aspiration you unlock one.
Here I am working on my 5th aspiration:

This is not all correct.
A sim who does chef culinary branch can not, by any means, unlock all aspiration traits. A sim who chooses mixologist branch however can do unlock them all.
Maxis' sims don't and can't have bonus 4th trait (the "abnormal" one that comes from the aspiration). Only sims you create in CAS have it.
Finally, sims that start as a baby/child can have additional 4 traits unlike sims created as a teenager or older."JoxerTM22;12737666" wrote:

I suppose that's true, I didn't say you could get them all on "every" sim though. :p"JoxerTM22;12737666" wrote:

I haven't seen that. One of my sims married Dina Caliente and she had the base culinary aspiration trait. Perhaps using a mirror to edit a sim in CAS will update them, one of the first things I did was change her hair color and outfits, I didn't notice if she was missing the trait beforehand.
I totally forgot about the child aspiration traits.- Is there a mod that adds another trait slot in CAS?

Edited to add: You actually add the extra CAS traits while in live mode for this mod and not in CAS! - When you choose the new group that you have your aspirations Love, Family, Popularity etc. to make sure you can do full edit mode in CAS by doing so you add that groups trait alluring in Love, Gregarious in Popularity, Domestic in Family etc (if you want that group's) added trait. Then after choosing that group go to full edit mode in CAS,
First, you'll have to use the cheat code testingcheats true The Cheat code for that is as.fulleditmode.The cheat code for adding traits is traits.equip_trait then the name of your trait following the first part of-of the cheat. If the name has space it becomes one word no space.
The link is to the mod below that allows you to have more traits choose only one to download and the one that allows you to add or remove traits in the regular menu when you click on your Sim.
