Gift game code

Okay so I have an issue. I was looking for how I could buy a pack without having it load into my game since I wanted the mac code since I have a pc but my partner has a mac. The problem is that I purchased the pack through the EA site so it didn't register that I already own the pack that I was trying to buy for my partner. Then I assumed that since I bought it anyways I'd check for a product code that I could send them in the receipt. Sadly that isn't the case and now I ran into the issue of having bought the same pack twice at different times and can't access the one I just got. I would like to know if there is still a way to get that code since I'm not able to download it anyways so I don't think it should be complicated problem to solve. Also when buying the pack I did not see a purchase as gift option.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide

  • @avconnelly  There's no way to find a product code for a pack you purchase through EA.  Even if you did find the code, you couldn't transfer it to your partner's account.  Your only move here is to contact EA customer support and request a refund.  Even though SimsDLC isn't usually eligible, support often does issue refunds in the case of a mistaken double purchase.

I strongly recommend using live chat rather than email in this case.  If you're not seeing the option, try this link:

    https://help.ea.com/en/help-contact-us/?product=the-sims-3&topic=missing-game&category=manage-my-account&subcategory=find-missing-game

Make sure you're signed into an EA site (this one is fine) before clicking the link and that the location in the lower-right corner of the browser window is set to U.S. or U.K.

As far as gifting goes, you may be able to sign into your account on your partner's Mac and send them a gift.  The EA App doesn't support gifting, as far as I've seen, but Origin still does, and there shouldn't be any problem with accessing multiple accounts on the same device as long as you sign out when you're done.
