Gifting to kids?

Yes had my child sim give a gift to his mom, it was a rose and she didn’t like it and he got sad. It’s in the friendly option ->give gift.

I actually searched high and low through the friendly option with a rose in her inventory :|

Yeah my child Sims give gifts quite a bit. I like to have my child Sim give a gift to her younger, toddler siblings. My child Sim just aged up and she gifted all her toys to the toddlers. & I had mom give the child a gift for her birthday....a very nice camera, which my child Sim hated. & I have my child Sims give gifts to their parents....which both mom and dad hated the gifts.

As others have mentioned, it's under the friendly interaction. My sim children frequently gift pictures they draw and their parents have so far loved them!

My adult sim gifted a rose to his wife, and she was stoked about it. She was less enthusiastic about the tulip later. LOL I guess she's a rose lady! I haven't tried gifting flowers to parents from the kids. Maybe they have gift preferences as a hidden trait? It would be interesting to know if it's sim specific via traits, emotion based, or if it's just random luck whether they'll like it or not. His wife is romantic, so maybe that's why she liked the rose? You'd like she'd like the tulip too, then. lol

Yes, under friendly interaction. Give gift animations are awesome.

Children can give gifts to adults. Do you have any mods?

I do have mods, Mcc and Wicked, I guess I'll remove them and see what's up. My sim apparently can only gift flower arrangements. I bought a load of presents but it wont let me gift those :s So it must be the mods

Great I thought I was the only one missing something.. My sims can actually give gifts but its usually just flower arrangement or flowers that pops up as an item to gift not any other item in their inventory that I actually intended giving as the gift...sad...nd the interaction just comes up only when a flower item is available (I think) but I know I don't always see it there. I would try repairing now tho and see what's up
