Glitch with detective clues, makes arresting the right suspect impossible

So I'm playing the detective career in GTW and my Sim started gathering clues together to call an APB and go arrest the suspect. Her clues were that the suspect was both a teen and possessed the Ambit...

I've been told that clues are sometimes supposed to be incorrect but I'm certain this is a glitch because if there's even one incorrect clue, you're stuck unless you use cheats to reset your career.
