Gravestones and Seances

Okay, so after the death of Makoa Kealoha by flaming cereal, I realized that although I do have the paranormal pack, I've never played it. Also, I don't know how to find his tombstone/urn.

This is the fourth death that my sims have experienced. Rohan's grandparents are both deceased, I think from old age. Our original butler was eaten by Matilda, our cow plant, while I was away. Now Makoa was taken down in his prime because apparently he thought he had to cook his cereal?

My point is that each of these sims were unplayed and in the case of my first butler (who is still assigned to his bed), he does not have a home world. So how do I go about finding their tombstones since each had an affect on my sims? Rohan still takes time to think about his grandparents which is a great addition to this game as it's real in life. So I would love to have a place for him to visit them especially.

As for seances, how does that work? I guess I'm looking for a real time tutorial so I and others like me can actively participate and ask relative questions for clarification.

Anyone care to help?
  • I believe you need their gravestone to get their ghost, not sure if there is a way to find it. There are ways to bring ghosts back to life but believe the gravestone is needed. Can probably get more info online or from others on the forum. I love playing Paranormal so recommend you do try it. The seance table doesn't work, though, to call specific ghosts that are in your game. That would be so cool, though! I enjoy the gameplay and recommend you check out gameplay videos of Paranormal if want to see how it works gameplay wise. The seance table has cool animations and up to 4 sims can participate. If your sim uses it, they can level up in medium ability and obtain the paranormal investigator license and do gigs outside of their home as a job. The table also allows the user to check how haunted the place is, commune with departed, perform a ceremony calm the spirits, invoke the dead which is a random ghost, summon Bonehilda, do a ritual that turn your medium into a ghost temporarily and summon Guidry, who is a guide.. Some of the interactions require a specific medium level. It is a lot of fun!
  • Okay thanks. I've checked online bur there seemed to be some contradictions about tombstones and everything I've been able to find is about played households. So I guess that since I didn't play them, I won't be able to get their stones and thus the seance will not work for my family.

My child, Gideon bought his paranormal badge from the traits and rewards so I am curious about how it works. He's a human surrounded by occult siblings so he is naturally curious about the supernatural.

As for finding anything online, again everything seems to be centered around played sims. I'll do more research though.
  • Oh and as for the spoilers, all you need to so is start wit the spoiler tag, enter any text, images and whatnot, then end with the spoiler tag. Remember that images must still be inside the image tag. all without the .
  • Once you get to level 5 of medium from the seance table, Guidry will give you a free PI license, or buy one as your sim did. But either one should work. You have to join The Federal Bureau of Spooky Investigation which you find under the freelancer careers. Then you will be able to accept gigs. Either way, you will have to be level 5 medium to start the career. Unfortunately, a sim has to be a young adult to get the job, even if your child has level 5. I haven't had a child yet as a medium, so not sure if he can do the actions in his lot. I love your storyline! Best of luck to Gideon in his new career!

Yeah when I hover over the license it says "While Godeon may not be old enough to accept the job yet, he can still show off this nifty badge!"
  • Makoa is a townie that comes with the Sulani world (as I'm sure you are aware) so have you had your sim go and visit the house he lives lived in and see if there is an urn?

Unless you have story progression on and he moved out from the house, his urn might still be there. I have found several urns that way.

Finding tombstone locations for unplayed sims is a major problem in this game.

When someone dies, you should at least be given the urn location or whereabouts to search for it.
