    Oh yes, this drives me crazy also. I end up not making my sims partners for this very reason.  I ended up using the following cheat to get rid of it for my sims:

    modifyrelationship Karla Corbin Bradley Hatcher -100 sentimentTrack_bitter_st_hsprom_noprominvite
    modifyrelationship Bradley Hatcher Karla Corbin -100 sentimentTrack_bitter_st_hsprom_noprominvite

    You might want to  try it, changing the names to Eric and Kayleigh.

Hey, thank you so much! The one I had wasn't working, but it was mostly taking away a grudge. This one you have is more precise. So much better than having to backtrack, that much is certain.
