I don't think that's how it would work. It would most likely be one new map of destruction, not a change of every single current map, that would be way too ambitious and would take a ridiculous amount of time, money, and effort to work that kind of an overhaul.

I suppose it could add destructive events to certain areas. But it all really depends on the exact theme they would decide on, whether zombies, Aliens, a plague, natural disasters, etc. to determine what the content would be like. I'd be quite happy with any of them.
