Happy 9th Birthday Sims 4!

I’ve been playing for 9 years! I asked for the Sims 4 for Christmas & was SO excited when I finally got it, lol. That was a really good Christmas. ;)

I don't exactly remember when I started playing Sims. Before pools and scented flower arrangements at least. My burnout had hit me really bad so I could no longer play my old games, they were too stressful. Sims where I could just spend a day watering flowers if I wished worked better. Then I got really invested.

This pic is from the olden days before we had flowers scented with death. I have always been very particular about keeping familytrees intact for my townies so in the old dark days I would just take a day and kill of elders in npc townie families so that their familytrees would remain intact. Yeah...

I'm sure my sims are very VERY happy about the updated version of npc-familytree-controll. Sniff a few flowers and you logg of, piece of cake really.

Got it day 1. Played it 1 day. Went back to Sims 3 until Get Together came out. Although I probably did get Spa Day when it came out, because I love me some spa time.

I bought it when it was first released, but I played it alongside The Sims 3. Once more content was available, I switched to TS4 full time.

I started playing the sims 4 day one as I got my collector edition a day early installed it straight away and just had to wait till release day to download it ? was working that night so was dying to close my aunties pub just so I could play the sims 4 lucky enough I was off the following day so had the whole night/ into the early hours of the morning to play ?

I'm pretty sure it was 2019. I was a Sims 2 player, and I wasn't initially impressed by Sims 4. But EA gave the base game away for free as a short time offer. (This was before it was free permanently.)

I decided to give it a try and fell in love. EA has definitely made lots of money as a result since I now own all the expansion packs and most of the game and stuff packs.

Nearly 5 years I got it when get famous was released.

I don't know when I started playing, other than that I started playing after Get Famous was released. I used a code to get the game for 30% off and bought it, then made a playthrough with this rich, mean sim who kept killing her competition.

I played the Sims 4 on PS4 very briefly a few times in the past 2 years, but only now I'm starting to actively play it on PC. I really like using it as a platform to tell little stories I come up with in my head. I'm currently checking out every pack I can in chronological order.

Island Living and the introduction of merfolk to the game was the reason I got the game.

In a way, The Sims are one of the very few games that have playable merfolk done well.

In many many ways, I wish the Sims 4 Merfolk had underwater spaces like in the Sims 3.

However, in spite of the many many things I’ve turned to mods and custom content for, I do enjoy the Sims 4 Merfolk and spent most of my time playing them without mods and Custom Content.

Now, I can’t play the merfolk without mods and CC.
